2010 Slifer Report

The 2010 issue of the annual Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate Market Reviw, “The Slifer Report” has been released.  This in-depth market report covers the calendar year 2010 statistics for all neighborhoods in Eagle County.

Without a doubt, real estate sales were up in 2010 compared to the previous year, both in number of transactions and in dollar volume.  The total sales volume in 2010 reached nearly $1.5 billion and there were 1,250 transactions.  There were new developments such as Solaris Residences and The Ritz-Carlton in Vail, and The Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Avon that closed transactions during 2010 which added to these sales numbers.

As our inventory of homes remains strong, we are seeing many buyers taking their time and carefully choosing their perfect mountain home or vacation property.  And properties that are priced according to our market conditions and show well are selling fast.
